Love Week kicks off in the Duke City Saturday

Saturday, June 15 is the kick off of Love Week in Albuquerque. Love Week is put on by Love ABQ and is all about giving back to the community.

This year, they are looking to unite over 1,000 volunteers from all walks of life to meet the needs of the Albuquerque metro community.

Love ABQ is a local outreach ministry of New Mexico Prays, a network of over one hundred churches from more than thirty denominations who are praying for and serving New Mexico.

Albuquerque’s city leaders have identified top-priority projects for volunteers to take on during Love Week. Projects include:

  • Building access ramps for our elderly and disabled
  • Packing nutritious snack packs to distribute to children who attend Title One schools
  • Cleaning up city parks and public schools
  • Helping host the National Senior Games

Love Week is June 21-22. For more information about Love Week.
