Family fun events happening May 18th weekend

Pet adoptions, celebrating the living traditions of New Mexico and record-breaking musicals are just some of the things happening this weekend in Albuquerque.

Celebrate the living traditions of New Mexico by highlighting the state’s finest artists at Heritage Day. Demonstrations from some of New Mexico’s finest traditional artists will showcase and sell their work. People can also try their hand at spinning and weaving, tinwork, and retablo painting. The event is May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CATS is coming to Albuquerque. Bernalillo County is inviting the public to the Paws and Claws Family Festival. The event is May 18 at the new Bernalillo County Animal Care and Resource Center, 3001 Second Street SW. Come tour our new state-of-the-art animal care facility from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy loads of family fun.

There will be food trucks, Animal Artisan craft vendors, animal demonstrations, and pet-friendly businesses.
