ABQ To Do Crew offers family-friendly fun this Cinco de Mayo

Summertime in Old Town is kicking off this weekend. Every weekend from now until August will feature live music at the gazebo in Old Town on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The theme for this first weekend is New Mexican music with local favorite Nosotros kicking things off on Friday.

  • Friday, May 3 – 7-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 4 – 7-9 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 5 – 1-3 p.m.

David Sedaris returns to Popejoy to read from his latest works. He is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition. Beloved for his short stories and personal essays, over ten million copies of his books have been printed in 25 languages and his stories have appeared in The New Yorker and The Best American Essays. His latest book (May 2018) is Calypso. (May contain mature content)

The show is on Sunday, May 5 at 4 p.m.

The Bernalillo County Commission Chair, Maggie Hart Stebbins, will be celebrating her 50th District 3 art exhibit with a special two-part art series this summer. The latest exhibit is scheduled to run from May 9 through Aug. 23.

On May 9, the reception will be from 4 p.m to 5:30 p.m. in the county administrative offices.
