Dress up and run for 5th Annual Sugar Skull Fun Run October 28th

Dress up and participate in a day of fun, food, and music during the 5th Annual Bernalillo County Sugar Skull Fun Run.

Participants can register for the 5k or 10k Fun Runs. The race route will follow the Bosque Trail along the west side of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Walkers and pets are also welcome to participate.

Early bird registration is only $25 per adult and $15 for kids 12 years and under. The registration fee includes the sought-after official Sugar Skull Fun Run long sleeve dri-fit shirt, while supplies last.

Registration fees will increase to $40 after Oct. 24.

Additional activities planned for the event are Dia de Los Muertos face painters, artisans, food trucks and music.

Proceeds from the fun run will benefit the BernCo Quality of Life Community Fund.

The BernCo Quality of Life Community Fund is similar to a foundation; it allows individuals to make tax-exempt donations to the county to support events, such as this fun run and other activities, that are currently funded out of the county’s general operations budget.

Event details:

  • Registration runs through October 28 with fees increasing to $40 after October 24
  • 10K Run begins at 9:30 a.m.
  • 5K Run begins at 10 a.m.
  • Dress to impress. Dia de Los Muertos costumes are encouraged
  • Participants are asked to park along the northwest side of the Natural Hispanic Cultural Center
  • After arriving, runners can check in at registration tent to pick up their t-shirts
