ABQ TO DO has plenty of fun for the entire family

It’s time for the fall harvest at the botanic garden’s heritage farm, Popejoy Presents: Footloose, and we have the skinny on the Market Harvest Festival.

The fall harvest is here and you can experience it all this Saturday at the ABQ Botanic Garden Heritage Farm. After the balloons land head on over for tractor rides, chile roasting, pumpkin patch, music, family games, crafts, farmers market, fiber arts and demos and so much more!.

The ABQ BioPark’s famous fresh apple cider will also be available for purchase along with other seasonal items. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for kids 3-12 and Kids under 3 are free.

Popejoy Presents “Footloose” the heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. To the rockin’ rhythm of it’s Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people and guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.

Footloose is rated PG and will perform this weekend on Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 13 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. There will be an ALS interpreted performance on Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. This is the second weekend they’ll be at Albuquerque Little Theatre. The La Familia Growers Market Harvest Festival is on Oct. 12 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Market Harvest Festival is on cat Dolores Huerta Gateway Park, 100 Isleta Blvd. SW.
There will be free workshops like Learn How to Make Chile Ristras, musical performances by Rio Grande Express and Mezcla Latina, food trucks, local farmers, arts and crafts, face painting and more.
